Firma Alfex została założona w 1948 roku w Lugano w Szwajcarii. Firma wcieliła do siebie FEREX SA. W latach 60 tych Ferex należał do SSIH Group (Omega, Tissot,etc). Jako ze współpraca pomiędzy SSIH nie była bliska właściciele zdecydowali się żeby przyłączyć się do innej firmy. W 1974 roku powstała nowa firma Alfex SA z polaczeniem Ferex SA. Modele tego szwajcarskiego producenta zegarków słyną z odważnego designu i wielkiej dbałości o każdy detal. Każdy model został specjalnie zaprojektowany w najdrobniejszym elemencie oraz sprawdzony przez specjalny zespół kontroli jakości.
